At the EarthCarers Community Garden you can reduce your impact on the environment whilst growing your own fresh, healthy food. The garden uses only harvested rainwater and helps you cut down on greenhouse gas emissions by avoiding ‘food miles’.
The garden has 43 individual plots for growing food for personal use plus a number of communal gardening areas which include fruit trees, herbs and areas for planting annual vegetables.

EarthCarers
The EarthCarers Community Garden is the largest project to date of the Chelsea Heights EarthCarers group.
As a member of EarthCarers you can share your concern for the environment and the threats of climate change and empower yourself and others to live more sustainably. Group activities include simply sharing ideas, workshops and seminars and visiting places demonstrating innovative sustainable living practices.
The EarthCarers group meets every Thursday during school terms from 10am to 12 noon. Meetings alternate between management of the Community Garden and topics related to other areas of sustainable living and climate change.
