Children's Market - Chelsea Heights Community Centre

Chelsea Heights Community Centre is home to the very popular and longstanding Children's Market. In 1991 our first Market was held, it was the initiative of a volunteer and to this day is still run by volunteers. Our Children's Market is held twice a year, with all proceeds contributing to improvements to the Centre.

The market has maintained it's original purpose: providing a community service, enabling families to access excellent quality children's goods for low prices and a philosophy of encouraging recycling.

There is always a strong sense of excitement on market day, with long queues forming before the 9.00 am opening. 40 undercover stalls offer a huge range of pre-loved children's goods. The market's reputation attracts people from all over Melbourne and our local areas. Over time shoppers themselves become stall holders and the demand remains strong.
