Walking group
We are taking expressions of interest for a weekly walking group.

It has been proven that walking for an average of 30 minutes or more a day can lower the risk of heart disease, stroke by 35% percent and Type 2 diabetes by 40%.
It’s not just your heart and muscles that benefit from walking, your mind too! Regular walks improve our daily mood which cumulatively leads to better mental health. Walking with a group can also help you meet new people, build friendships, and provide a sense of community.

A trained volunteer will lead the group and offer different route options around the Centre. The walking group is aimed to meet every week and the start point of the walk will be at the Centre.

Cost will be $2 per walk.
