CHILDREN'S WEEK 2024
Children's Week is a national celebration. It recognises the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children. The event takes place in October every year, with thousands of Victorian children taking part in the festivities.
Children’s Week 2024 will be held between Saturday 19 October to Sunday 27 October 2024.
The theme for Children’s Week 2024 is: “Children have the right to a clean and safe environment”.
To celebrate Children's Week, Chelsea Heights Community Centre is hosting a free and engaging Growing Incursion.

To celebrate Children's Week, Chelsea Heights Community Centre is hosting a free and engaging Growing Incursion.
Growing - An incursion by Little Sprouts
Wednesday 23rd October from 10am - 11am
During this activity, children will explore:
• the different parts of a plant and the roles they play
• what plants need to grow and survive
• the diversity of plants (through sensory play)
• the life cycle of a plant (through movement and music)
• how to plant a plant and care for this.
Each children will get to plant a bee-friendly seedling to take home to their families.
An incursion by Little Sprouts, designed for babies from 9 months to 4 year old.
***Please note, our usual Wednesday morning playgroup will not run on this day***

Little Sprouts organised environmental education incursions accross Melbourne. Engaging children in environmental sustainability education at an early age can help them to become active global citizens in later life.
