How to get involved?

At Chelsea Heights Community Centre we are always on the lookout for people to join our team and help us to develop our centre and the surrounding community.

Volunteering at Chelsea Heights Community Centre provides opportunities for people to enhance existing skills and learn new skills, build self-esteem and confidence to enter the workforce, reduce isolation and to meet new people. Volunteers are recognised for their support and their contribution towards building a better local community.

The Centre is managed by a Committee of Management made up of voluntary members elected each year at the Annual General Meeting.  The Committee is the guardian of the Centre’s mission and aims — what it plans to achieve, where it wants to be and how it plans to get there.  If you would like to contribute to the management of the Centre you do not need to have any specific qualification, however the best committees are those that have a good mix of skills.  Meetings are held monthly, please contact us for dates and times.
